Chess

An open individual chess event under FIDE rules with rapid time controls.

01Who can take part

  1. 011 participant per campus (open category).

02Rules

  1. 01Maximum of 20 minutes per game (10 minutes per player).
  2. 02The host provides the chess clock, board, and pieces.
  3. 0330 seconds are allowed between moves.
  4. 04A maximum of 3 illegal moves is allowed before disqualification.
  5. 0550 moves are allowed if the king is the last piece left on the board.
  6. 06A draw is settled by piece count.
  7. 07Touch-and-move rules apply.
  8. 08All other rules follow FIDE (World Chess Federation). The referee's judgement is conclusive.
